Indigenous Health
At ZH Doctors Carseldine, we are committed to providing culturally safe, respectful and inclusive health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
We aim to build strong, trusting relationships with individuals and families, and to provide a safe space where every patient feels heard, valued and supported.
Our Indigenous health services include
- Annual Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health checks (715) – a comprehensive review to identify risks early and support preventive care
- Chronic disease prevention and management – diabetes, heart, kidney and respiratory conditions
- Immunisations and preventive health
- Mental health support, including connection to Indigenous-specific services
- Women’s, men’s and children’s health across all stages of life
- Closing the Gap (CTG) – help with access to subsidised medicines and follow-up care
If you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, please let our reception team know so we can make sure your care is culturally tailored and you can access the services you are eligible for.
